Andrew's Vlog Celebrates One Year

The vlog started on May 3rd, 2014 and a lot can happen in 365 days. My main goal at the beginning  was to show people what it's like to be a filmmaker and work from no budget to hopefully a big budget production. I wanted to show the obstacles you have to overcome and how to be a one person production company.

I've been watching vlogs for about three years. I watch filmmakers, musicians, and comedians live their lives day to day. The one thing that intrigued me about vlogging is the opportunities it can bring into your life, for example collaborating with other YouTubers.  The one thing I was excited about is storing my memories on the internet not just for people to watch everyday, but to go back and relive moments in your life. It's crazy to think that part of what is in my brain is on the internet.

When I started creating the One Year Highlight I would see all the amazing moments I had in just one year. It took me a while to finish this video because when I was picking out the best of the best I would not only look at the title of the video I would sit back and watch. When I was watching VidCon: Day One - 06.26.14. I started tearing up a little because I was given advice by one of my favorite YouTubers Olga Kay . I had mixed emotions when watching this video, I was happy because a YouTuber I look up to was talking to me and giving me  advise to better my videos and I was a little sad because I won't be able to make it to this year's VidCon. Hopefully next year I can attend the convention.

There are a total of 86 videos highlighted in the One Year Highlight Reel and the one thing that was constant was golf. I had a ton of fun golfing with friends and especially golfing with my dad. One video you wont see in the One Year Highlight Reel is Fun On The 4th - 07.04.14. the only reason why it didn't make the cut was because I had to limit the golf videos in the reel.

My dad is a huge inspiration to me, he always gives me ideas on how to make my vlogs better or a new concept for a video on  AGE Animations . One way I though I could repay my dad was to bring him to one of my favorite events and share the first time going to WrestleMania 31. We had a blast, he told me before the event started, "I think The Rock will show up today." I was thinking okay dad what ever you say, he isn't on the active roster due to his crazy schedule of making movies. My dad was right. The Rock showed up and even brought Ronda Rousey into the ring. WrestleMania was amazing but the best part was I got to share it with my dad.

If you are watching the One Year Highlight Reel on a desktop or laptop computer and you want to see a specific day in the video, you can click on the title at the bottom left corner and it will take you to that day.

This year has been one crazy year and I can't wait to see what happens in year two.
